Located at the intersection of Route 132 and Ross Avenue, on a currently vacant site, the project aims to contribute to the development of residential and commercial offerings that meet the needs of the community.

At this stage, the project includes the construction of a five-storey building with a minimum of 48 rental units, consisting of one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as parking spaces. A commercial component is also being considered on the ground floor, creating a complementary relationship between the residential and commercial uses. The project’s configuration is currently undergoing an optimization study to maximize the number of housing units that can be developed, based on ongoing analysis, identified needs, and applicable municipal and regulatory approvals.

A Project Rooted in the Needs of the Community

At a time when access to housing and the development of new residential options are important challenges for many municipalities across Quebec, the project seeks to address the current and future needs of Mont-Joli.

Thanks to its strategic location at the heart of a territory that serves as a link between the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie regions, Mont-Joli enjoys a privileged position. As the regional centre of the La Mitis RCM, the city is an important hub for residents, workers, and businesses throughout the region.

The project also reflects a desire to support the growth and vitality of Mont-Joli by contributing to the creation of new living environments and enhancing the attractiveness of the area. The city currently has approximately 6,500 residents and has set its sights on continued population growth in the coming years.

Multidisciplinary Expertise in Support of a Shared Vision

As part of this initiative, JCB Construction Canada has partnered with Gestion Pascal Soucy inc., a well-established business in the region, to envision, develop, and deliver a distinctive project aligned with the realities of the area and the needs of the community.
