JCB Construction Canada is carrying out the fit-out of CN’s new head office
1 min.
Designed by NEUF architects, this major project will occupy the first 18 floors of the 28-storey tower, encompassing over 440,000 square feet of modern, flexible, and inspiring workspace. Through this new headquarters, CN reaffirms its commitment to Montréal and the long-term presence of its head office in the city.
Owned by Kevric, 600 De La Gauchetière Ouest—currently being transformed by JCB’s team—will become a symbol of innovation and sustainable performance in the downtown core. The fully reimagined building now features a renewed architectural envelope with expanded glazing to maximize natural light in work areas. The main lobby, repositioned at the intersection of De La Gauchetière Street and Beaver Hall Hill, will reconnect the tower to the surrounding urban energy. An architectural atrium extending to Viger Street will create a new presence on Square Victoria, strengthening the dialogue between the building and its neighborhood.
The future CN headquarters will also benefit from exceptional accessibility, with new integrated entrances and direct connections to the Square-Victoria–OACI metro station, the underground pedestrian network (RESO), the REM Central Station, and the Réseau express vélo (REV). The gradual relocation of the teams will begin as early as 2026.
“We are honored to collaborate with Kevric, NEUF architects, and CN on such a transformative project for Montréal. Our team is applying its full expertise in major renovations and complex interior fit-outs to deliver a workplace environment that embodies both CN’s proud heritage and its forward-looking vision,” said Alexandre-Stéphane Boucher, President and CEO of JCB Construction Canada.
This large-scale project exemplifies JCB’s ability to deliver major developments across Quebec and Ontario, combining operational excellence, urban integration, and sustainable construction
