About the position
Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Technician is responsible for various tasks related to technical support, including account access and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The role provides support to users at our Brossard office, as well as remote support for employees working from home or from our Toronto office.
Your mission as an IT Technician
- Provide IT support to company users
- Resolve software issues
- Troubleshoot hardware problems (printers, laptops, iPads, etc.)
- Manage and resolve user issues through a ticketing system
- Update information in Active Directory for user management
- Configure IT equipment for new employees
- Train new users on IT equipment
- Provide technical support for conference room equipment
- Perform password and MFA resets
- Carry out software and system updates on IT tools
- Review phishing emails using tools such as Microsoft Defender
- Participate in projects aimed at optimizing the IT infrastructure
- Perform any other related duties
To work with us, you should
- Be available to work part-time (24 hours) on-site
- Hold a college diploma in computer science or a related field
- Have relevant experience as an IT technician or in a similar role
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills in French and basic English (functional bilingualism)
- Have a good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, JAMF, and Apple Business Manager
- Have solid knowledge of Windows computers
- Be comfortable working under tight deadlines
- Demonstrate attention to detail and autonomy
