A new pavilion for graduating students at Collège Sainte-Anne in Dorval
1 min.
Three years after the opening of Collège Sainte-Anne’s new Dorval campus, a new building will soon rise on site to support Grade 11 students in their transition to college. This new construction will seamlessly integrate with the College’s existing zero-carbon building—winner of the 2023 CaGBC Excellence in Green Building Award, an Architizer award, and a Grand Prix du Design – Gold certification.
Inspired by the college-level teaching model, the new pavilion, designed by Architecture 49, will provide graduating students with an environment that fosters autonomy and the development of essential organizational skills. The interior layout will emphasize flexibility, with both individual and collaborative workspaces designed to support student well-being and success.
For Collège Sainte-Anne, this project represents far more than a simple expansion: it is a concrete response to today’s youth challenges, such as performance anxiety, academic disengagement, and uncertainty about the future.
“This building is a concrete response to a societal issue: better supporting adolescents through a pivotal stage of their lives,” said Isabelle Senécal, Principal of Collège Sainte-Anne, Secondary Dorval.
“In continuing our collaboration with the school team, JCB is honored to contribute to a project that will mark a major milestone for graduating students at Collège Sainte-Anne,” said Alexandre-Stéphane Boucher, President and CEO of JCB Construction Canada.
“We look forward to seeing this pavilion, scheduled to open in August 2026, become a space for learning and growth for students—building on everything that has already been achieved on this remarkable campus,” concluded Alejandro Oruna, Vice President, Construction at JCB Construction Canada.
